Conserve Natural Forests (CNF) is an environmental non-profit foundation focused on forest restoration and wildlife conservation in Thailand. Since 2014, CNF has dedicated itself to preserving and enriching ecosystem balance and function, restoring degraded landscapes, and reintroducing endangered species to their natural habitat.
Conserve Natural Forests’ goal is to implement practical, proven methods of forest restoration to mitigate the damages resulting from deforestation and forest degradation. CNF strives for an optimal balance between widespread and effective forest restoration – measured by the conservation of biodiversity, ecological health, and carbon sequestration – in conjunction with improving the economic and environmental quality of life for the local communities within our engaged region.
The local communities and the Thai government support CNF’s tree-planting projects. CNF uses the Framework Species Method in its reforestation projects. Depending on a variety of factors, including altitude, average temperature, soil quality, and the species composition of the surrounding ecosystem, CNF plants between 25 and 40 native species on its restoration sites.
